Pearl Road Auto Parts & Wrecking

Pearl Road Auto Parts and Wrecking is the first business in Cleveland to capture the wind to generate electricity. Stefanie Spear, president of Expedite Renewable Energy, managed the installation of this 120 kW remanufactured Vestas wind turbine. The wind turbine, which sits atop a 140-foot tower, was installed in 2009 on the 4.7 acre auto recycling yard at 5000 Pearl Rd., along Interstate 480.

The Pearl Road Auto Parts wind turbine generates nearly half of the electricity needs for the company.

Jones Solar Project

Expedite Renewable Energy managed the installation of a 10 kW ground-mounted solar array for Tom and Diane Jones. The solar panels supply all the electricity needs for their home in Auburn Township. Tom and Diane are very pleased with their investment and enjoy receiving their electricity bill each month with the utility owing them money.
